Since 1830 this plot of land we call the Tincher Heritage Farm has been owned
by a member of the same family. As a descendent of the family and living on this
land it is a goal to continue the farming tradition. On this plot of land transferred from family member to family member, from generation to generation has been grain crops, dairy cattle, beef  cattle, hogs, horses and now goats and hay.

According to land deeds listed in the MORGAN COUNTY INDIANA ORIGINAL LAND SALES  FROM U.S. GOVERNMENT the land we live on was originally purchased by James Demoss,  (Kimbra's 3rd Great Grand Uncle). He purchased the land from the US Government in 1830.

In 1878 James Demoss upon his death gifted approximately 45 acres of the the land to his daughter Rachel M. and her husband Joshua M. Davis (Kimbra's 1st cousin, 4 time removed).

In 1889 Rachel M. (Demoss) and her husband Joshua M. Davis sold the land to Daniel & Zeruiah (Hadley) Shoffner, (Kimbra's 3rd Cousin, 5 times removed).

In 1908 Daniel Shoffner sold the land to Lot Maris Tincher, Kimbra's Great Grandfather.

In 1937 it was passed down to Donald Brown Tincher, Kimbra's Grand Father.

In 1993 it was passed down to Mary Louise (Tincher) Hill, Kimbra's Mother.

In 2003 it was passed down the current owner, Kimbra (Hill) Smith.

The family has the original deed for each ownership change.
